I'll buy a new ipod soon I guess. I'm asking myself :
Is the Apple charger also charges new ipod Shuffle/Nano/Touch ?
My 4G iPod is beging to die. It's about 2 1/2 years old, and the battery seems to shorten everytime I'm synchronizing and recharging it. I used to listen almost 4 hours of ipod everyday at work (I'm subscribed to a lot od podcasts). Today, the battery last for 4 hours of continous play or less and is even discharging while switched off. The battery can't keep the charge any more and after 2 days of not being switched on, the battery is almost empty.
Sooo ! I'm planning to buy a new ipod. Certainly a iPod nano, the red one will be my choice.
To begin with, I bought my ipod in Swizerland, in october 2004. I was visiting a friend in Lausanne, and during our city tour, we stopped at FNAC. I didn't intend to buy an iPod, even I was looking for an MP3 player. I found 20GB ipods for 280 CHF (Swiss Francs), that is approximatively 190 Euro. In France, by this time, iPod nano were sold at... 179 Euro !!!! I didn't think twice and bought the 20GB ipod :)
Today, I'm looking at some Apple stores for the price of the 4GB red ipod nano, and I'm really surprised by the comparison.
France : 209 Euro
Germany : 199 Euro
United Kingdom : 129 Pounds (approx. 189 Euro)
Swizerland : 289 CHF (approx. 178 Euro)
I only selected countries, where I've a chance to go and buy this red iPod. Switzerland is still the best option ! I need to visit my friend once again soon ;)
